Cirque Du Soleil – Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities
Recent photographs from Cirque Du Soleil’s dress rehearsal of KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiosities. (click to enlarge)
This is the first big top show I’ve been to, and in true Cirque Du Soleil fashion, the show exceeded all my expectations! The story, characters, costumes, and set design, right down to the smallest details were over the top. While acrobats and contortionists have the spot light on them, no detail has been left aside during their performances. Small automated props move about the stage triggering lighting and audio effects, and the characters we follow through the story are posed in wonderment as each performance unfolds. It’s sensory over load, and I could probably see the show another 5 times and still catch new moments. While the big top towers 62 feet high, and seats 2700 people, the venue itself is very intimate, I photographed the first half of the show in the front row, and the second half from the back and can say there is honestly not a bad seat in the house! If you have the chance, go see this show!
Cirque de Soleil Dralion
Last night marked the 5000th performance of Dralion by Cirque Du Soleil, it was an absolute honor to capture photos of these world class performers here in Lethbridge at the Enmax Centre! The photos were all shot during the first half of the show. For a full review of the show click here.

The Family of Man Statues
These statues were first built by Mario Hubert Armengol for Britain’s Pavilion at Expo 67 in Montreal. The statues are 21 feet tall. The statues were purchased by Maxwell Cummings and Sons, who then donated them to the Calgary Board of Education. – Source: Wikipedia
