Sunridge Owl
Shot this owl early this morning before the sun came up. The photo is heavily pushed in camera and in post. I shot this at 1/100th sec at 200mm F2.8 IS, 4000 ISO, +1 exposure compensation. Not the best photo, but it was amazing to see this big owl flying around the lakes. Pretty sure he took out a robin for breakfast.
Canola Field
This photo was shot at around 200mm, with two ND -8 filters stacked. I was attempting to get blurry canola in the wind with a long exposure and a sharp background. However in this shot, I tamed down my 30 second exposures and shot this at a 1/20 of a second because the trees in the distance were blurring out. I will post one of the 30 second shots in the next post. Cheers.
More Wind, More on the way.
I spent some time on the westside today at my folks place, right on the edge of the farm fields. Seemed like 100km winds. First shot is of the neighbors siding blowing off, a piece blew off, and flew right past me. Second shot is of squirt, as she stepped outside into the wind… hard to see with all the fur blowin in her face!
